Floating the Kettle River is a popular way to keep cool on one of our famously hot summer days. From one hour to the whole day, stop at one of the sandy beaches, cool off in one of many swimming holes, or just lay back and enjoy the unique view of the world.
The Kettle Valley Rail Trail (KVR), part of Canada’s iconic Trans Canada Trail, runs straight through Rock Creek. Bike, hike, horseback ride, or cross-country ski. It’s nothing but wide open spaces beneath a canopy of cedar, spruce and pine along the Kettle River banks in the shadow of the Monashee Mountains.
Bring your fishing gear and see what’s biting. Between the Kettle River, Rock Creek, and Conkle Lake you’ll find plenty of craggy shoreline where you can drop in a line.
